The Cinco Ranch Cougars defeated the Paetow Panthers 17-7 on Thursday, October 12th at Rhodes Stadium.
Paetow’s only touchdown came on a kickoff return.The Cinco’s defense dominated the action while the offense jumped out to a lead that never gave up.
Cinco scored 10 points in the first quarter with the first touchdown being scored on a trick play as running back Tessiah Young threw a 46 yard touchdown to tight end Kellen LeCronier.
Paetow ran the kickoff back for a touchdown to tie it at 7 before Cinco kicked a field goal in the second quarter to make it 10-7 at the half.
Into the third quarter, Cinco scored on a 37-yard touchdown by running back Marcus Gadlin that put Cinco up by 10.
Cinco’s defense would not allow Paetow to score for the rest of the game and the final score ended up being 17-7 in favor of Cinco.
The win moved Cinco to 5-3 on the year as they look forward to the biggest game of the season against the top team in the district, The Katy Tigers.
