Junior golfer Abby Newton, who placed first at Districts and first at Regionals, will be recognized as the Memorial Herman Athlete of the Week by Channel 2 News.
Her feature will air at 10 p.m. tonight on Channel 2 News.
Newton broke the River Ridge Golf Course record with a round of 64 on April 6 at the KatyISD Varsity Golf District Tournament.
She was presented a plaque by a representative of Memorial Herman and interviewed by an anchor from Channel 2 News.
