Boys Golf launches fall season with opening tournament victory

The varsity boys golf squad earned team and individual tournament victories Friday in the season opening event at Raven Nest Golf Club. Sophomore James Chong paced the team with a 1-over par win.

County Line staff

The varsity boys golf team opened their season with an impressive team win while sophomore James Chong paced the Cougar squad with a four-stroke individual tournament victory this past weekend at Ravens Nest golf club.

Junior Hayden Roup lost a tiebreaker for 2nd place while shooting 5 over, and sophomore Eric Luo, freshman Holden Kittleberger, and senior Sean Ngo help the Cougar team to a decisive 16-stroke win.

The cougar golf team is coached by Nate Embley and Kevin Hildebrand.
