Cross country placed eighth at the 2011 UIL State Championships in Round Rock on Nov. 12.
The team was considerably young, featuring three sophomores, four juniors, and only one senior.
Junior Keo Neshyba led the pack, finishing 12th with a three-mile time of 16 minutes 22 seconds. Finishing close behind was junior Sam Wallace at 18th place.
The girls sent one runner, junior Sammie Kubiak, who placed 59th, running two miles in 12 minutes 26 seconds.
