On September 9th Cinco Ranch High School had their 2023 homecoming dance at the Merrell Center. Many couples wore matching outfits, and others were quite creative and went in western accessories, props to them for their Texan pride.
At the dance, many different types of groups were seen, the ones that became the life of the party as soon as they walked in, the slow-dancers, and the ones that recorded the fun in general. In this case, Junior student Suzana de Paula Sena shared with us her experience as she went to the dance with a group of friends and a date, and will share with us her experience.
“My favorite part about Homecoming dances is the fact that I can be with my friends and just dress out and have a good time with a purpose to make memories with all of them” she said. Her most memorable experiences of the night were taking pictures with her best friends, singing, dancing, and having what she calls “a beautiful night”.
She also shared with us her go-to outfits for this kind of special occasion. “My go-to outfit is definitely a short dress, either green or white and it has to have a lot of glitter and sparkles”. Like every other homecoming dance, we have themes. Whether it’s a fantasy or a color palette type. “I like a lot of winter themes, I feel like those are really cute with the time and the season homecoming is at” she said.
Homecoming dances are the highlight of our school year, bringing together students for a night of fun and memories. From the dazzling decorations to the energetic music, and the electric atmosphere. Whether it’s dancing with friends or capturing moments with selfies, the homecoming dance is a night we’ll never forget.
