As the world awaits the arrival of the Hunger Games movie this Friday, March 24, the library hopes to make hunger something besides just a game. A food drive will be held from March 19-27 to bring awareness to real world hunger here in Katy. All food donations will go to KCM and the names of students who drop off canned goods at the library will be placed in a raffle. Winners will receive prizes such as the Hunger Games books, t-shirts, and posters.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, a girl named Ana was born. As the years passed, life did not measure up to the fairy tale story, so she began to live within the lines. The dragons never came, and neither did the evil witch, but the story was just as exciting. High school is her castle, not as glamorous but entertaining enough. The workload is worse than Cinderella’s chores, the halls as packed as the fairy tale creatures in Shrek’s swamp, and the newspaper her tiara. Just like Ariel, she has a getaway but hers is titled “the band hall.” The details of the story are quite minor, so if looked at from Rapunzel’s point of view, her story looks pretty good.
