As we all know by now because of the news, speeches from leaders of different countries towards it, and social media itself, there’s an ongoing religious war between Israel and Gaza. A conflict that not only has destroyed people’s lives on both sides, but has also taken the lives of innocents that had nothing to do with it. Parents, children, sisters, brothers, and grandparents have all been victims of a religious conflict that has lasted more than 50 years.
On October 7th at 6:30 am, a terrorist group called the “Hamas” from Gaza, announced the start of the “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood”. Where atleast 5,000 rockets were fired against Israel in a timespan of 20 minutes. The Hamas also destroyed part of the border between themselves and Israel to continue their attack on foot in Kerem Shalom, and Erez. They brought with them tanks and many deadly weapons. Around 7:00 am – 8:00 am, the Hamas attacked the Israeli military headquarters, jamming all communications.
Once they took over the Israeli country, the Hamas started attacking the citizens all around, firing at them, taking them as hostages, and sadly taking their lives too. After this attack, Israel declared war against Hamas and anyone who stood beside them. Currently, the conflict between these two still stands.
In times like this, unity, hope, and faith is what must prevail. We must stand together against this conflict and hope that peace can be reached between these two countries. Peace for the lost lives, peace for those who had seen the horrible side of war, and peace for the young ones whose innocence was ripped away from them too soon. “Peace Above All” is what we need in the world, peace above all is what should be in our minds and souls, to survive, to live on, to be happy, to be love, to be in peace with yourself and others.
