Cougars thrill fans with another last second win

The varsity football team stunned fans on Friday night when senior kicker Donny Smith kicked his second consecutive game-winning field goal.

Neither team scored in the first quarter, but Jersey Village High School soon took the lead, finishing the first half, leading 21-14. The Falcons maintained the lead by the end of the third quarter, with both teams scoring six points. With nine minutes left, Cinco tied the game, but the final field goal in the last three seconds had Cinco fans going home with a smile.

With the win, 30-27, Cinco moves to 2-0 on the year with both games decided by last second field goals.

The Cougars’  will travel to Tully Stadium Saturday night, September 12th against Memorial High School. Kickoff at 6 p.m.
