Alumni from local TV and news stations arrived on Tuesday, December 12th to speak to all media classes including newspaper, yearbook, Global Vine and introductory classes about their professions and experiences.

Daniel Gotera, class of ’02; Sophia Beausoleil, class of ’05; and Lindsey Henry, class of ’07, are three reporters from KHOU, KPRC and KRIV, respectively, who shared their experiences and gave students a glimpse at what it’s like to pursue journalism as a profession.

Each one started small and worked their way towards jobs in larger markets like these, and were especially excited to be able to come back to their alma mater and speak to prospective students about what lies beyond high school journalism.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to talk to students at my high school and today I got to check that off my bucket list,” Said Lindsey Henry, FOX 26 reporter. “So grateful for the opportunity.”

Gotera and Beausoleil shared similar sympathies about their visit; Cinco is proud and honored to host such prolific alumni!
