Cinco Ranch experienced dense fog Wednesday morning as the forecast calls for warming temperatures through the week. Afternoon highs are expected to hit near 80 degrees by Friday.

The fog combined with a car fire along Cinco Ranch Boulevard near Westheimer caused traffic delays that caused many students and faculty to run late. Local firefighters and emergency responders extinguished the fire quickly, but one lane of traffic was blocked for over an hour until the vehicle could be removed.

The school tardy policy was eased first period to accommodate those running late and caught in the traffic back-up.
