Homecoming is next week, let’s take a look at what the court has to say on a few questions the school was wondering!
Prince- Jones Bynum (12th grade)
Question 1: What made you want to run for homecoming King?
“I have been wanting to run since freshman year. I just thought it would be really fun, a cool once in a lifetime experience.”
Question 2: What has been your favorite memory from homecoming so far?
“I would say just the fun environment, everybody is getting along with each other, nothing is toxic and I think it is always just a great time.”
Doian McCray (12th grade)
Question 1: If you could change one thing about school what would it be?
“I would change the dress code rules or the phone rule, at this point especially being a senior, I don’t care about any of that I am just trying to get it out of the way”
Question 2: What has been your favorite memory from homecoming this year?
“My favorite memory from homecoming is just being able to see all the grades together dancing and having fun.”
Aiden Spearman (12th grade)
Question 1: What has been your favorite memory from homecoming so far?
“ I would say my favorite memory from homecoming would be scoring touchdowns and winning. Thats has always been a big thing for me, and it just sets up the rest of the week”
Question 2: What made you want to run for homecoming king?
“ I wasn’t thinking about running, but my friends told me I should, and I didn’t really think I would get nominated, but I did. And so now I just want to see if I could prove myself that I could maybe do it.”
Shamar Celetine Jr. (12th grade)
Question 1: What has been your biggest inspiration for school?
“My biggest inspiration for school, I would say probably say Coach Minter and Coach Beasley, just teaching me my ways.
Question 2: What has been your favorite memory or homecoming so far?
“My favorite memory from homecoming would probably just be meeting new people every time.”
Carson Wagner (12th grade)
Question 1: What made you want to run for homecoming King?
“Ever since I was a freshman and I saw that there was a homecoming court, and there was a queen and king every year, I just knew I just wanted to be apart of that tradition”
Question 2: What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
“One thing that most people don’t know about me is that I actually have four nieces.”
Gianna Campise (12th grade)
Question 1: What qualities do you think makes you a good homecoming representative?
“I feel like I’m a good role model in and outside of the classroom. I also play softball so being a leader on the field can also be a good quality.”
Question 2: If you could pick a theme for next year’s homecoming, what would it be?
“The theme I would pick would be pink because it is my favorite color.”
Lacy McCall (12th grade)
Question 1: What has been your favorite memory from homecoming?
“I love the homecoming parade. I am also part of volleyball every single year, it is really fun and we have water guns and also just seeing all the kids and families together just makes me really happy.”
Question 2: What has been your biggest inspiration for school?
“I have a lot of close family friends that are nurses and I just really want to succeed academically and socially. I love making connections with people and that really just inspires me.”
Dalya Khaleel (12th grade)
Question 1: If you could change one thing about school what would it be?
“If I could change one thing about the school, I think it would be the events that we have that we can all become more together with. What I mean is I feel like the bond we have as a senior class is not as strong as I want it to be, and as senior class president, it’s too hard to try to figure out how to make these bonding moments with the classes.”
Question 2: I think what my qualities are that make me a good hoco representative is rather than being super attractive. I feel like I just love making connections with people, and I was thinking about what people want to genuinely see as representing.
Sarah Miller (12th grade)
Question 1: If you could pick a theme for next year’s homecoming theme what would it be?
“I would pick an under the sea theme because I think it is cute”
Question 2: What made you want to run for homecoming queen?
“My boyfriend in the military motivated me to run with a bunch of my friends, but more than anything, it is for the ‘senior high school experience.’”
Ananya Moudgil (12th grade)
Question 1: If you could pick one theme for next years homecoming what would it be?
“I like space themes like lost in space, I like space and the galaxy so probably space themed.”
Question 2: If you could change one thing about school what would it be?
“If i could change one thing it would probably be the rules about late arrival, I feel like if we started at 8 or 9 like the middle schools everyone would be more productive and awake, I got too many tardies last year.”
Mariana Mosquera (12th grade)
Question 1: What made you want to run for homecoming queen?
“ I wanted to run for homecoming queen because I feel like it shows a legacy for Cinco, and I feel like it is something that I have always thought about and it would be really fun if I did make it.”
Question 2: What qualities do you think makes you a good homecoming queen?
“I feel like I am pretty outgoing and I am pretty hard working. I feel like I have been really involved in the past four years here at Cinco Ranch. I also feel like I am a person that’s always been there for people.”
