Gift, Kappel, Atkinson capture Cross Country District Championships

Boys Cross Country warms up for District Meet competition Friday morning at Bear Creek Park. CRHS had three individual runners win championships in Boy’s varsity, girl’s varsity and girl’s JV action.

Senior Nathan Gift, sophomore Reagan Kappel and freshman Ella Atkinson all earned individual championships Friday morning at the UIL 19-6A District Meet at Bear Creek Park. Kappel sparked the girl’s varsity team to a District Team Championship as well and now the ladies squad advances to Regionals.

Gift’s individual varsity title helped lead the boy’s team to a top-10 District finish.  Atkinson paced the girl’s JV squad to a JV team title with her individual 1st place medal.
