Founded in 1927, The University of Houston is a public college with over 40,000 students attending both graduate and undergraduate school. The college is a research hub located in the business section of Houston, with several contacts to Fortune 500 companies. It is also the second most diverse major university in the United States and ranked seventh for least amount of debt upon graduation.
The University of Houston also prides itself in its faculty and programs, with several professors and researchers who have won prestigious prizes like the Nobel Peace Prize, Tony Awards, National Medal of Science and more.
