Fourth down and a minute and twenty-four seconds are on the clock. Taylor leads 20-17. Suddenly, senior Russell Morrison completes a 41-yard pass to senior Colby Bradshaw who is waiting with open arms in the end zone and scores the go ahead touchdown with exactly a minute left on the clock.

The men in maroon brought home another victory, but this time it was extra special. It was homecoming.

In the first quarter Morrison ran the ball 44 yards for a touchdown and added a 10 yard run for another touchdown again in the second quarter. Donovan Smith kicked a 43 yard field goal just before half and was perfect on all his PATs.

During half-time Matt Ward and Abby Draut were crowned the king and queen of homecoming court. This year holds something special for the band as both the royal members are a part of the award-winning tight knit marching group.

Taylor who trailed most of the game scored back-to-back touchdowns in the fourth quarter and Cinco fans held their breath. After Morrison’s TD pass to Bradshaw, the Cinco defense came up big with an interception that sealed the win with less than 40 seconds on the clock. The final score was 24-20.

The Cougars retain their undefeated record, now 7-0.
