German club celebrates the results of their competition. They will be going to state in 23 categories.

German Club placed in the top five in 23 categories at Houston Fest on Feb. 6, with five first place winners.

Among the first place winners were sophomore Natalie Grant in Doll Costume and Gingerbread Non – Traditional and Karolis Vaiciulis in photography. Cinco Ranch as a whole also received first place in Gingerbread Traditional and Pass auf! Novice.

“It was very interesting,” said German club member and sophomore Karolis Vaiciulis. “Students were displaying a lot of German Culture.”

All Cinco Ranch students that placed in the top five in any categories will be going to the state competition on Feb. 27.

“I’m going to state for both the skit and photography,” Vaiciulis said.
